I had a very very very busy Sunday with two (2!) shoots. I normally would not do that to myself, but when the stars (or schedules!) align you must follow through. I spent the morning with Jenn in the redwoods by a stream in Saratoga and the afternoon with Margaux at a park in Los Altos. It was tons of fun- but now I have lots more work ahead of me!

Dust in space taken by Hubble! I have been taking a solar astronomy class and it is making think I want to toss all this photo business to the side and become an astronomer. But I assume it is an even more competitive field and I would need more math. Jason has always downloaded pictures from there and I know Lidias mom works for JPL- but all of a sudden I am INTO it. So yeah, I want to be a astronomer when I grow up. But maybe I would settle doing photo retouching on space pictures, because they actually totally do retouch them. From the Hubble Astronomy Picture of the Day.

photo: Cutest dogs ever, worst film ever. I for some reason thought it was the best thing in the world to make them do synchronized sitting for treats. And I am never ever ever using this film again.

photo: if you have ever wondered how jack got so cute- I present katie & andrew side by side! from this weekend in half moon bay at sams chowder house for jacks birthday party.

photo: Rancho San Antonio Park in Los Altos, near our place. I hope to spend much time here.

Two of my favorites are celebrating their 60th anniversary this month, Berkley radio station KPFA and Big Sur’s Nepenthe. I think it is awesome they both have made it this long, and I hope to still be enjoying them when I am 60!

The long trip coming up means I am going to get back to a knitting project I started last fall. It was supposed to be a gift (they always seem to be), but it is big and is taking awhile, so I am guessing it will have to be for next christmas.

photo: sunday afternoon on a side walk in palo alto, jack showed us his sidewalk chalk skills. oh yes, there will be more!

i read once somewhere that your cells turn over every 7 years. that technically you are a different person every 7 years. there are parts of me that not only buys it, but actually believes it.
