on a side note: we move out of our big grown up house in the suburbs to a quaint apartment near the hills tomorrow. we will save lots of money and supposedly someone will come and clean it on a regular basis for us. and there is a pool. work and school are also ridiculously busy. so with the move and the work and the school, daily will have to take a break for a few days.

the lost weekend.

I just finished the (mostly) picture book Instamatic Karma by May Pang- photographs during the 18 months he was split with Yoko, a time he later refers to as his “Lost Weekend”. I am not really a huge Beatles fan, but I have always had a fascination with John Lennon, and despite what everyone says I think Yoko is rad. The book is nothing exciting or revelationary, but mostly an interesting document into a specific time period in someones life. The photos are very 70′s in style and mostly snapshots, in which she also documented the signing of the dissolution of the Beatles.

blue morning

I have been really busy. Like so busy that daily photo blogging is hard, well at least yesterday. But as I told myself when I started, it does not have to be all new stuff. I have a half finished black and white roll and Big Sur pictures still to get through. But between slammed work, slammed school and this little thing called moving a 3 bedroom house with a garage into a 2 bedroom apartment with no garage in two weeks (I have ONE whole box packed) photography is sadly taking the back burner. But, that being said I am considering taking another b&w film class cause I have a ton of paper I need to use and when I start in the fall it is mostly digital. So lets dig back a bit.

But I like the moon. I miss me some Brianna as I don’t get to Fresno as often as I did to Oakland.
